This is a few weeks late, but I figured I’d post it since EW included a new promo shot of Aaron from Kick-Ass.
Aaron Johnson
As wannabe superhero Dave Lizewski, British-born Aaron Johnson, 20, flawlessly flipped from teenage gawkiness to comic-book bravado in the action-packed ode to fanboy gusto Kick-Ass. He then took a poignant turn as a young John Lennon in Nowhere Boy. Next up: Johnson is shooting the period drama Albert Nobbs with Glenn Close and Mia Wasikowska.
Aaron has been nominated at the British Comedy Awards for the Best British Comedy Performance In Film for his performance in Kick-Ass.

The ‘Kick-Ass’ actor beat fashion stalwarts including David Beckham and Tom Ford to the top spot of the GQ annual Best Dressed list of 2010, and removed ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson from the number one spot.
British actor Douglas Booth, who has appeared in campaigns for luxury fashion house Burberry, came second in the list, while ‘A Single Man’ star Nicholas Hoult was third.

Breakout Role: Though we already said that Chloe Moretz totally stole the show in “Kick-Ass,” it was also leading man Aaron Johnson’s time to shine. Between that and his role as John Lennon in “Nowhere Boy,” he is certified fresh.
Why He’ll Stick Around: In addition to the previously mentioned “Albert Nobbs,” Johnson is justthisclose to being cast in Bryan Singer‘s “Jack the Giant Killer.” Even if that doesn’t pan out, Johnson also has “Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall” to look forward to.
Imogen Poots admitted it was a ”delight” to kiss British hunk Aaron Johnson in Hideo Nakato thriller ‘Chatroom’.
Imogen Poots was “delighted” to kiss Aaron Johnson in ‘Chatroom’.
The 21-year-old beauty was happy to kiss the British hunk in the movie, and even describes a recent on-screen kiss with Michael Douglas in ‘The Solitary Man’ as “calm” despite the 45 year age gap between them.

Seen In: “Kick-Ass,” “Nowhere Boy”
NextFactor: It’s hard to ignore this striking, 20-year-old star of the underground hit “Kick-Ass,” who’s set to reprise his role in the sequel, the eloquently entitled “Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall.” Even harder to ignore is his engagement to baby mama and “Nowhere Boy” director Sam Taylor-Wood, 24 years his senior. The hoopla over their relationship somewhat overshadowed the fact that Johnson delivered a second kick-ass performance this year as a young John Lennon in “Boy.”

Though no offer is officially out yet, “Kick Ass” star Aaron Johnson is apparently being pursued for the lead role, though the studio is looking at a range of other younger actors as well.
