‘Savages’ set to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 24

Seems like only yesterday when the film came out to theaters, doesn’t it? Anyway, the film is set to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 24! As per usual, the blu-ray is stocked with more extras than the DVD. Details about the release and versions below.

Oliver Stone’s latest, Savages, will come to Blu-ray, DVD, digital download and On Demand October 24, 2012. The cannabis-related thriller, starring John Travolta, Salma Hayek, Benicio Del Toro, Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively and Aaron Johnson, scored just under $50 million worldwide.

Savages will arrive on Blu-ray encoded in 1080p (2.40:1 aspect ratio), mixed in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. The DVD will include an anamorphic widescreen presentation with 5.1 Dolby Digital audio. No artwork is available at this time. However, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has revealed bonus features for both discs.

Suggested retail for Savages is set at $34.98 for the Blu-ray combo pack, and $29.98 for the DVD. Amazon has the Blu-ray available for pre-order for $23.99, and $21.99 for the DVD.
