Oliver Stone has started filming his next project, Savages, in Los Angeles.
The movie is based on the 2010 novel by Don Winslow about Ben and Chon, two friends who run a marijuana operation in Laguna Beach, CA. But, their operation is threatened by a Mexican drug cartel who kidnaps one of their female confidants and “sets into motion an escalating conflict.”
Savages’ all star cast includes Blake Lively, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, Salma Hayek, Benicio del Toro, and Emile Hirsch.
Today, they are filming at the Malibu Riding and Tennis Club. Look out for signs that read PAQU.
Savages currently has a release date of September 28, 2012.
